The Internship Program at MMDC is designed to provide students with practical, hands-on experience in their field of study, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional work. The program ensures that every internship opportunity exposes students to relevant skills and knowledge that align with their specialization, preparing them effectively for the workplace.
This generally is taken and completed during the last term before graduation.
The full internship curriculum is still being developed but this guide provides an overview and some helpful informations to understand what to expect when the time comes for OJT.
The internship is an integral part of the curriculum, aimed at:
- Exposing students to real-world work environments.
- Helping students develop practical skills relevant to their specialization.
- Providing opportunities for networking and professional growth.
- Enhancing employability by offering experiences that build confidence and competence.
Students may be assigned to any of the following OJT set-up:
- MMDC partner companies
- Student-sourced companies that meets the program requirements for relevant experiences
- For working students, its possible to have their internship in their current workplace provided that the company is willing to be an OJT partner and willing to allow students to undertake special assignments or projects related to their specialization.
The program will have 2 components:
- Synchronous/ online modules that covers essential competencies across multiple industries and structures to help students develop a range of skills including technical abilities, communication, teamwork, professional ethics. These are delivered similar to other MMDC courses.
- On-the-job work at partner companies
