Overview
This article explains what happens if your Coursera submission fails an Integrity Check and outlines your responsibilities as a learner.
If you fail the Coursera Integrity Check, you are responsible for reaching out to your mentor to address the issue promptly. A failed integrity check does not automatically result in disciplinary action, but it does require immediate attention.
What You Need to Do
- Contact your mentor as soon as possible after receiving the Integrity Check notification.
- Be prepared to explain your submission and provide context on how the work was completed.
- Cooperate fully during the review process.
What Happens After Review
After discussing the case, your mentor may:
- Allow a resubmission, or
- Request a revision of the work
The outcome depends on the mentor’s assessment of the submission and supporting explanation.
Important Reminders
- You are expected to submit original work at all times.
- Integrity checks are part of MMDC’s commitment to academic standards.
- Failure to proactively communicate with your mentor may delay resolution.
