OWWA Scholarship
Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) a scholarship grant to qualified dependents of OFWs consisting of a maximum of Php60,000.00 per school year until the completion of a baccalaureate course (4-5 years). For incoming freshmen, the selection of scholars is determined through the DOST national examinations. Only the top 1,000 qualifiers are considered for entry as freshmen; 600 slots are for those in 2nd to 5th year college level who are enrolled in any Philippine-based college or university.
General Qualifications
1. Must be a child of an active OWWA member; or Sibling of a single or married but childless active OWWA member
2. Must have NO AVAILMENT of any OWWA Scholarship Program by other Members of the OFW Family
EDSP CATEGORY 1 (Incoming 1st Year College)
- Must be single
- Must not be more than 21 years old
- Must be Grade 12 graduating student
- Must have a GWA of 80% or its equivalent
EDSP CATEGORY 2 (2nd to 5th Year College)
- Must be single
- Must not be more than 30 years old
- Must have a GWA of at least 85% or its equivalent
- Must have no failing grades
- Must be enrolled in a Philippine-based college/university
Requirements:
The basic requirements to be submitted by the applicants upon application online are the following:
1. Proof of Identity
1.1 OFW - Copy of Valid OFW Passport Bio or Info Page
1.2 Dependent
1.2.1 Valid School I.D. or any available Valid I.D.
1.2.2 Birth Certificate or Baptismal
2. Proof of grades from the previous School Year
(i.e. Form 137 or Form 10 [TOR], Form 138 or Report Card, or Certificate of Grades from the School)
3. 2x2 I.D. Picture of the OFW's Dependent (Child or Sibling Applicant)

Note: For those students who cannot present the current or previous semester grades, the grades within the last two (2) school years can be considered as reference
Important Notes for Online Application
- Use a valid and working e-mail address.
- Provide a working mobile number to be able to contact you if there is a need to, refer to the application.
- Do not make multiple applications as may this affect the process of verification/evaluation of your applications.
- Make sure to prepare ALL REQUIRED documents/requirements/information/data about the scholarship applicant and the OFW before making the online application. This will serve as a basis for the first come, first serve policy of processing the application.

PVAO (Philippine Veterans Affairs Office) Scholarship
THE PVAO Educational Benefit Program is part of the package of benefits being administered by the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office which entitles a veteran (WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War), or his qualified beneficiary, to study at any school, college, university or institution recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The benefit covers payment of tuition, matriculation, registration, clinical, affiliation, military training, diploma and graduation fees.
Eligibility:
a) Veterans of WWII, PEFTOK, and PHILCAG Veterans
b) Surviving spouse (in case the veteran/surviving spouse did not apply for the benefit or if the benefit was applied for but has not been used or has been partially used.)
Nature of Benefit
1. Payment of school fees- Maximum of P60,000 /Academic Year
2. One time payment of Review Fee amounting to P18,000
Requirements for Filing an Application
1. Military Service Record of Veteran issued by the Office of the Adjutant General (OTAG), AFP/ Certification issued by PVAO or the Military Service Board (MSB), if veteran is a “Deserving Guerilla”;
2. Certificate of Marriage of veteran and his spouse issued by PSA;
3. Death certificate of veteran issued by PSA (If deceased);
4. Death certificate of surviving spouse of veteran issued by PSA (If deceased);
5. Waiver of Rights of all the children of veteran in favor of the proposed beneficiary;
6. Birth certificate of beneficiary’s parent issued by PSA (Child of the veteran); and
7. Marriage certificate of beneficiary’s parents issued by PSA.

1. Course curriculum program
2. Latest Registration form
3. Transcript of record from the previous school
4. Photocopy of AWARD (copy for student)
5. Scholarship Credit Card (Blue Book)
REPLACEMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP CREDIT CARD
1. Affidavit of loss
2. Copy of AWARD (copy for student)
REQUIREMENTS FOR INITIAL PAYMENT OF SCHOOL BILLS
1. Duly Accomplished Copy of AWARD (marked “Billing”),
2. Duly accomplished School Enrolment Confirmation Slip (Below Notice of Approval)
3. Notarized Contract
4. Personal Information Sheet
5. Finger Printing Form
6. Duly Accomplished Certificate of Enrolment form/ Latest School Registration Form with Assessment of Fees;
7. Official Email Addresses of School Registrar & Accounting Office (preferably the edu.ph email address)
8. Bank Account details of School (for payment of school bill)
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCEEDING SCHOOL BILLS
1. Duly Accomplished Certificate of Enrolment form/Latest School Registration Form with Assessment of Fees
2. Original or Certified COPY OF GRADES from previous school term (All grades PASSED)
REQUIREMENTS FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF SCHOOL BILLS
1. Letter Request for Reimbursement
2. Duly Accomplished Certificate of Enrolment form/ Latest School Registration Form with Assessment of Fees
3. Original or Certified Copy of Grades from previous school term (All grades PASSED)
4. Bank Account Details of Student (for depositing of reimbursement check)
COVERAGE OF THE P60,000 ANNUAL ENTITLEMENT
School fees authorized by the CHED and appearing in the prospectus, catalog, or brochure of the school. It does not cover allowances (book, uniform, etc.)
LIMITATIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
Scholars are entitled to receive subsidy/support for one (1) basic course (undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate) except in cases where scholarship has been previously awarded to and partially used by the veteran, surviving spouse, or any of his direct descendants. The subsequent grantee shall only be entitled to the remaining period of entitlement.
