- Lec and Lab courses are co-requisite courses. Co-requisite courses need to be taken in the same term.
- Note For Abanse scholars: as stated in the scholarship conditions, scholars are required to take the full load per term.
-
Evaluate Your Grades:

- Incomplete courses do not need to be re-enrolled, but needs to be completed within the completion period of the succeeding term
-
Credit Evaluation for Previous Educational Experience:
- If you have previous educational experience, consult your Request for Credit Evaluation Form (RCEF) to determine which courses have already been credited.
- Credited courses do not need to be enrolled, as they have already been accounted for in your academic record.
- Credit evaluation should have been completed during the admissions period or within the initial term.

Review Course Offerings for the current term:
- Check the available course offerings for the upcoming term to identify courses that align with your academic goals.
- Take note of the schedule and available sections for each course.
-
Create a Shortlist of Courses:
- Based on the previous steps, create a shortlist of courses that you plan to take for the upcoming term.
To assist with planning, you can utilize the provided template below to list the courses you intend to take and organize your weekly schedule.

By actively participating in the course selection process, you can tailor your academic journey to suit your interests, strengths, and aspirations. Remember to seek guidance from your program coordinator/head if you have any questions or require additional support regarding your curriculum.
Step 2: Determining the Appropriate Course Load
Consider the following questions to help decide the number of units you can handle in the upcoming term:
-
Time Commitment:
- Evaluate the number of hours you can dedicate to your MMDC education on a weekly basis.
- Typically, you can envision each course requiring a 3x a week schedule, with each session lasting approximately 1.5 hours.
- This breakdown includes one session for synchronous learning, one session for mentoring, and one session dedicated to your practical project creation work.
-
Balancing Personal and Professional Commitments:
- Recognize that you may have other personal and professional obligations beyond your MMDC education.
- It is crucial to assess the time you have available and plan accordingly, ensuring a healthy balance between your academic workload and other responsibilities.
- Creating a schedule or a to-do list can assist you in effectively managing your time.
Step 3: Financial Considerations
- Determine Financial Feasibility:
- Evaluate your financial resources and ascertain what you can fund and afford for the upcoming term.
- To estimate your total matriculation fees, refer to the "Tuition Fee Calculator Help Guide" for assistance.
By carefully considering the time you can allocate to your studies, balancing your commitments, and assessing your financial capacity, you can make informed decisions regarding your course load for the term. Remember, it is essential to maintain a manageable workload to ensure academic success while also prioritizing your overall well-being and responsibilities. If you require further guidance or clarification, reach out to your mentor, coach or the IA Services for support.
For any questions or clarifications regarding your enrollment or course selection, it is recommended to reach out to your Integrated Advisors (IA) or schedule an Enrollment Advising Meeting with your Mentors or Program Heads. They are available to provide guidance and support in navigating the enrollment process and addressing any concerns or inquiries you may have. Don't hesitate to seek their assistance to ensure a smooth and successful enrollment experience at MMDC.
