Overview
MMDC students preparing for their internship are encouraged to explore the official list of Host Training Establishments (HTEs) partnered with Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (MMCL).
The organizations included in this list are existing institutional partners of MMCL where eligible MMDC students may explore and apply for internship opportunities. Instead of waiting until your internship term to begin looking for a potential host company, you may review the list in advance, identify organizations and roles that match your program and career interests, and freely shortlist and reach out to potential HTEs to inquire about available internship opportunities.
Why the list is under MMCL
When introducing yourself or communicating with an HTE, please identify yourself as a student of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (MMCL) and indicate that you are from Mapúa Malayan Digital College (MMDC).
For example:
“I am a student of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (MMCL) under Mapúa Malayan Digital College (MMDC), currently taking BS Information Technology…”
MMDC is a college under MMCL, while Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna is the institution's official school name used in legal agreements and partnership documents. As such, HTE Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) and other formal partnership arrangements are established under MMCL.
This is also why a company on the list may recognize “Mapúa MCL” or “MMCL” even if it does not specifically mention MMDC.
What you will find in the HTE Masterlist
This is the official HTE masterlist for MMCL as a whole, covering internship partners that may serve students from its different colleges, programs, and disciplines.
The list therefore includes a broad range of organizations and industries, including opportunities that may be relevant to business and technology students, as well as different:
- Industries and types of organizations;
- Geographic locations; and
- Work arrangements, which may include onsite, hybrid, and online/remote opportunities, depending on what the HTE currently offers.
Because MMDC students are geographically distributed, we encourage you to explore the list broadly and look for opportunities that fit both your academic requirements and individual circumstances.
Screen the list intentionally
Being included in the MMCL HTE Masterlist does not automatically mean that every organization on the list is appropriate for an MMDC student or for your specific program.
The masterlist serves all MMCL colleges and programs. You may therefore encounter HTEs whose opportunities are intended for disciplines that MMDC does not offer, such as specialized programs in aviation, maritime, or other fields.

📌 When shortlisting an HTE, consider: Program relevance → Role and responsibilities → Required internship competencies → Location → Work arrangement → Current internship availability |
Your goal is not simply to find a company on the list, but to identify an internship opportunity that is appropriate to your MMDC program, aligned with your learning requirements, and relevant to the skills and career direction you want to develop.
Start exploring early
You do not have to wait until your internship term to familiarize yourself with potential HTEs.
Use the masterlist to research companies, identify organizations that interest you, prepare your shortlist, and reach out to inquire about internship opportunities. Starting early gives you more time to find an opportunity that fits your program, interests, location, and preferred work arrangement.

Important: Inclusion in the HTE Masterlist means that the organization has an existing partnership with MMCL. It does not guarantee an available internship slot, acceptance of an applicant, or availability of a particular role or work arrangement. Internship opportunities remain subject to the HTE's current requirements, vacancies, screening process, and the applicable MMDC internship requirements.

FAQ
What if my chosen HTE isn’t accepting interns right now?
You may keep the company on your shortlist and follow up later. In the meantime, you can apply to other HTEs on the list to ensure you stay on track with your practicum requirements and timeline.
Can I apply to more than one HTE?
Yes. You may strategize and send applications to multiple HTEs to increase your chances of securing a placement.
What if I find an organization I want to intern with that is not on the list?
You may suggest new HTEs but also be willing to facilitate the accreditation process. These companies will undergo evaluation and accreditation before they can be considered official partners. See: HTE Accreditation & MOA Process for Practicum
Do I need to inform MMDC when I apply?
Yes. While you apply directly to the HTEs, please keep MMDC informed of your applications and outcomes, specifically your Practicum Coordinator or Program Heads. They will also need to endorse your placement to the HTE before you may formally begin your internship hours.
