Join a Meeting with a Code
Step 1
Open a Google Chrome browser or tab.
Step 2
Go to Google Meet.
NOTE: Verify that your MMDC Account is logged in.
Step 3
Enter the meeting code or nickname provided to you.
Nicknames are only for people belonging to the same organization (i.e., mmdc.mcl.edu.ph).
Step 4
Click Join.
Step 5
You will be redirected to a preview of your device settings. You may choose to turn your microphone and camera before joining the meeting.
NOTE: Some meetings require the approval of the organizer for you to be able to join the meeting.

Join a Meeting via Email
Step 1
Open a Google Chrome browser or tab.
Step 2
Go to Google Meet.
NOTE: Verify that your MMDC Account is logged in.
Step 3
Open the email invitation for the meeting.
Step 4
Click Join with Google Meet button to join the meeting.
Step 5
You will be redirected to a preview of your device settings. You may choose to turn your microphone and camera before joining the meeting.

Join a Meeting via Camu
Step 1
In Camu, go to My Schedules.
Step 2
Switch from Calendar view to Tasks view. This view will show you a list of activities for the week and additional details.
Step 3
For courses with synchronous sessions scheduled, a Launch meeting button is shown. The button will be enabled on the exact day and time of the synchronous session.
Step 4
Click Launch meeting to redirect you to your virtual meeting room.
Step 5
You will be redirected to a preview of your device settings. You may choose to turn your microphone and camera before joining the meeting.

Google Meet Controls
1. MEETING WINDOW
The meeting window displays the meeting participants in tiles, the call controls, and the activity controls.
Participants' video or avatar are shown in each tile.
2. MEETING CODE
Meeting codes are given by the organizer to each participant. Participants may use this code to join the meeting.
3. CALL CONTROLS
This section shows the controls to enable participants to:
turn the microphone, camera, and captions on or off;
present by sharing their screen, window, or tab;
change their meeting settings;
and leave the meeting by ending the call.
4. ACTIVITIES PANEL
This option lists all other tools you may use during the call. This includes breakout rooms and polls. It also includes the chat feature and the option to see the list of participants of the meeting.
5. IN-CALL ICONS
Know the use of each icon in the control panel of Google Meet. You will also learn when a control is turned on or off.

Google Meet Keyboard Shortcuts
Send a Message via Meeting Chat Box
Step 1
Join a Google Meet.
Step 2
Once inside the meeting room, you may send and view messages through the chat box.
Click the Chat button at the lower right of the meeting screen. Chat box will appear afterwards. You may now start sending and viewing messages.
Step 3
Start typing your message. When you're done typing, click Send post your message.
TIP: If you share a file in the chat, make sure you give other participants access to it.
Step 4
Message thread is displayed at the chat box.
Present during a Meet
Step 1
Join a Google Meet.
NOTE: You may join a meeting by using a code or through an email invite.
Step 2
At the bottom controls, click Present now.
Step 3
Select Your entire screen, A window, or A tab.
If you present a Chrome tab, it shares that tab's audio by default.
To present a different tab, select the tab you want to present, click Share this tab instead.
Step 4
Select the window or tab to share. Click Share to start presenting your screen, tab or window.
Another tile will appear showing the shared screen, window or tab.
Step 5
To stop presenting, click Stop sharing button at the bottom of your meeting screen.
If the option above is missing, you can click Present now then select Stop presenting. The shared screen, window or tab tile will be hidden.
Join a Breakout Room
Step 1
The meeting organizer will invite you to join a breakout room.
Step 2
When your moderator invites you to join a breakout room, you'll see a prompt on your screen. Click Join.
Step 3
Once you're in a breakout room, you can speak to or send chat messages to other participants.
