Video is not playing in my Google Drive
Background
Google Drive has the capability to play videos uploaded in it. If Google Drive is not able to play videos, it is most likely because of browser or the computer's hardware settings:
Browser Version: One of the reasons Google Drive cannot play a video is due to its current version. Older versions may not be in sync with the settings needed for the video to play.
Video Format: Google Drive supports a handful of video formats. The format of the video being played might not be supported by Google Drive.
Video Resolution: Google Drive supports up to 1920x1080p videos. Any video exceeds the maximum resolution fails to load or play.
Internet Connection: For Google Drive to play videos, it needs stable and high-speed internet connection. Google Drive fails to play videos on fluctuating or unstable internet connections.
TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
Check your internet connection.
Update your browser.
Clear your browsing data.
Check the video format. If Google Drive does not support the video format, you may convert the file to a format which Google Drive supports.
Shared File is Crashing or not Updating Quickly
BACKGROUND
Files shared to several Google users, especially allowing them to update or comment these files, may cause failure to update quickly or for the file to crash every now and then.
TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
If several people are updating or commenting on your shared file and it's crashing or not updating quickly, you may try the following tips:
If you are collecting feedback, try using Google Forms instead of allowing users to comment on a document or spreadsheet.
If you’re making a copy of a document, don’t include resolved comments and suggestions.
Delete older information or move data into a new document.
Ask viewers to close the document when they aren’t using it.
Reduce the number of people with permission to edit the document.
