Part 5: Graduation Fees, Photo, and Ceremony Requirements

Overview

Students who are declared Candidates for Graduation will be required to complete several administrative steps in preparation for graduation. This includes settling graduation-related fees, completing graduation photo requirements, and confirming participation in the commencement ceremony.

These requirements are part of the official graduation process coordinated with Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (MMCL) and are necessary for the preparation of graduation materials, ceremony arrangements, and official academic credentials.

Graduation Fees

Once students are declared Candidates for Graduation, graduation-related fees will be billed to their account.

Graduation fees typically range between ₱8,000 to ₱10,000, depending on various factors such as the number of graduates and venue arrangements for the ceremony.

Graduation-related charges may include (but are not limited to):

Graduation Item
College Alumni Membership Fee
College Graduation Fee
College Diploma and Graduation Credentials
College Blue & Silver Yearbook
College Graduation Photo
College Toga Rental Fee

These charges support the preparation of graduation-related materials and services.

Graduation fees are required regardless of whether the student attends the ceremony or graduates in absentia, as they cover institutional graduation processing and official documentation.

Graduation Photo Requirements

All graduating students are required to submit an official graduation photo.

Graduation photos are used for:

  • commencement ceremony multimedia presentations
  • graduation documentation
  • the Blue & Silver yearbook

The official graduation photo includes a toga portrait following the MMCL graduation format.

On-Site Graduation Photo Session

MMCL will typically organize official graduation photo sessions on campus, in Laguna.

During these sessions:

  • professional photographers will take the official graduation photo
  • students will wear the official graduation toga
  • photos will be used for ceremony and yearbook materials

Graduates who attend the official photo session will receive printed copies of their photos as part of the standard graduation package.

For Students Unable to Attend the Photo Session

Students who cannot travel to Manila or attend the official photo shoot may submit a studio photo following the official graduation photo specifications.

However:

  • the graduation photo fee will still apply 
  • submitted photos will be edited to match the official graduation format
  • the official toga template cannot be distributed externally and will be applied during the editing process

Note: Detailed photo specifications will be provided to students when graduation processing begins.

 

Important Reminders:

Graduation-related requirements must be completed within the schedule announced each term.

Students are encouraged to:

  • monitor official announcements
  • complete payment of graduation fees promptly
  • follow the official graduation photo instructions

Failure to complete these requirements may delay graduation processing.
